   Abdul Ahad Khan


Mr. Abdul Ahad Khan is a Pakistani national and currently holding the position of Chief Training Officer at the Planning & Development Department of the Provincial Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

He has over two decades of a diverse portfolio of working in Pakistan and the UAE and in sectors/industries such as FMCG, Telecommunication, Printing & Publishing, Logistics, Visa Facilitation, Textiles and Public Services. Mr. Abdul Ahad is a textile and law graduate and also holds Master’s in Science in faculty of Management Sciences. He also works as a Consultant, Trainer, Career Mentor, Life Coach and teaches HR/Management courses as a visiting faculty.

Since 2010, he has successfully designed and executed many projects such as HCM ERP Implementation, Business Process Re-engineering, CSR & Charity Programs, HR Audits, Policies’ Design & Implementation, Competency Framework Development, Management Trainee Programme, Salary Surveys, Training Need Assessment & Analysis, Functional and Behavioral Training Programs, Performance Management Framework, Leadership Advantage Programme, Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Organizational Climate Surveys, Employee Calibration & Succession Planning, Employee Retreats & Annual Awards and Employer Branding etc. His forte is Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Career Development, Organizational Learning, and Leadership Development.




Course Description



Strategic management is an integrative and interdisciplinary course that intends to learn management of an organization’s resources to achieve its goals and objectives. Strategic management involves setting objectives, analyzing the competitive environment, analyzing the internal organization, evaluating strategies and ensuring that management rolls out the strategies across the organization.


Learning Objectives

The course shall deliver students with the practical approaches of managing in a diverse environment including ethical decision making, leadership, communication and problem solving. The need for corporate social responsibility, code of conduct and moral development of employees will be discussed. Along with the concepts, skill building for managerial traits shall also be focused.


Learning Outcomes

a) Help the students practice all the managerial functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in their daily personal and professional lives with all the relevant and important skills in this regard. 

b) Enable the students to respond to the changing environment of organizations by identifying the opportunities and challenges, creatively solving the problems and making timely decisions with an ethical behavior. 

c) Help building managerial competencies of analytical thinking, problem solving, entrepreneurship and leadership through different class activities like case studies, role playing, report writing, etc. 

d) Develop the ability to work in teams, manage diversity, effective communication and time management by working on group projects.
